Many of our most rewarding jobs come from repairing and altering existing buildings to suit the needs of our clients. Not only do we take on small repairs and maintenance, but we also excel in larger repair works and building alterations such as extensions and renovations.

A derelict timber framed cottage in Herefordshire was in serious need of an update. Much of the original building was carefully taken down, leaving just one wall and both gable ends, before it was sympathetically reconstructed and extended.

Timber framed panels were re-instated using local oak and reclaimed bricks. An oak and glass extension completed the look, and the steep, sloping gardens were given a new lease of life with the addition of timber decking.

These old barns were converted into stables, complete with offices, a tack room and a kitchen.

The exterior stone was repaired and repointed, with as much of the original material salvaged and reused where possible. Feather boarding was added and the roof re-tiled to match the existing barns.

As well as the outside of the building being finished to the highest of standards, the interior was also beautifully finished. The original beams were kept and repaired where required, windows fitted and a first floor put in. Slate tiles and wooden floors completed the rustic aesthetic.
